Follow these 5 easy steps to obtain a marriage license
in the US Virgin Islands:

Step 1: Print and Fill Out
Fill out all the information on these 2 documents:
A) Application for License and Certificate of Marriage
        (click here to print application)

B) Virgin Islands of the United States License and Certificate of Marriage
        (click here to print certificate)

Step 2: Write a Cover Letter

Provide a cover letter with the following information:

1. A) Date you are arriving in the Territory
   

2. B) How long you are staying
   

3. C) Date you will pick up your
   marriage license
   at the Superior Court in St. Thomas
   

4. D) The following information
   about your Officiant:
    Ordained minister: 
   Universal Life Church
   Kathleen Hurley,
   Rev. Dr. Div.

Step 3: Get the Following All Together
make copies of all the following and bring those copies with you to St. Thomas

A) Marriage License Application

B)  Virgin Islands of the United States License and Certificate of Marriage

C) Cover letter

D) Certified check or money order, in the amount of $100.00,
      payable to:  Superior Court of the Virgin Islands
     (Note: $50 of this is for application & is nonrefundable)

E) Divorced? A certified copy of the Divorce Decree

F) Widowed? A certified copy of the death certificate

 
Step 4: Mail Originals
make copies of all the following and bring those copies with you to St. Thomas

Mail A, B, C, D (if applicable E & F),
by certified return receipt at least 6 weeks prior to your arrival date.

(about one week after mailing, you may call the Court and ask Ms Monsanto for your reference number, to ease the pick up process for you. Also confirm the date you wish to pick up your license.)

Step 5: Pick-Up at The Superior Court in St. Thomas
Bring all the copies of documents you mailed with you
in case the court is missing any of the documents you mailed

Pick up your license, both of you in person, each with photo id, at the Superior Court before the ceremony.
